November First Friday
/Global Expansion
We’re adding something new in the form of Teppanyaki. Were we the only ones unfamiliar with this food? Apparently so as the Suteki-ya Teppanyaki truck has tons of loyal followers and rave reviews. Now you can try them out on Abbot Kinney First Friday.
In case you are one of the uninitiated, like us, here’s how Wiki describes it:
Teppanyaki is a post–World War II style of Japanese cuisine that uses an iron griddle to cook food. The word teppanyaki is derived from teppan, which is the metal plate on which it is cooked, and yaki, which means grilled, broiled, or pan-fried.
Remember Benihana? It’s like that. Without the knife juggling.
Suteki-ya offers Vegan options along with the traditional ingredients of beef, shrimp, chicken, lobster, salmon and assorted vegetables and noodles. We’ll be first in line to try teppanyaki for the first time!
Always Pasta
Now that the chilly weather is settling in, no excuses needed to enjoy pasta in all its glory. Pasta Sisters truck is joining us on the Blvd this month. Check out their freshly made pastas available in a variety of tempting variations.
And for Dessert…
We have something new there too. FRO is not only a new truck on the Blvd, it’s a new concept. FRO is a small-footprint electric solar-powered food truck that serves up vegan frozen soft serve. Bootstrapped by an ex-Tesla employee, they are testing the waters and making adjustments to the model before expanding. So, do it for science - have dessert. With or without a little CBD thrown in for good measure.
You can read more about FRO in this The Spoon article.
